Now enrolling: our 10-week Women's Self-Defense Series, starting Saturday, September 12, and our new Kids Karate program for ages 5-15, starting Wednesday, September 9.
See the Self-Defense SeriesTen weeks. One group of women who start and finish together.
Ten consecutive Saturday mornings with instructor Bea Frey, built as one course rather than a string of one-off workshops. You will work on awareness and de-escalation, escapes from common grabs and holds, striking from realistic positions, and what to do if you end up on the ground. Skills build week over week and get pressure-tested against a resisting partner, so what you learn holds up under stress instead of only on paper.
$199 covers all ten sessions. This is the first run of the series - future series are priced higher. Space is limited so everyone gets real attention on the mat.
Curious if karate is the right fit for your child?
Traditional Korean Karate for kids ages 5-15, taught in a structured, age-appropriate way. Students work on stances, blocks, strikes, and kicks, then put them together in forms and controlled drills. Along the way they build the focus, respect, and follow-through that carry off the mat. Classes are 45 minutes, closely supervised, and beginners are welcome any week - no experience or uniform needed to start.
The first Wednesday class is September 9 and the first Monday class is September 14. After that, Kids Karate runs every Monday and Wednesday, 5:45 - 6:30pm.
